Well, this is our first blog post. Why did you start a blog, you say?
We thought it was time to start sharing with the universe and cyber verse the method to our madness. We would like to offer you a glimpse behind the scenes of creating not only one, but two brands, and why we are passionate about making ethical and sustainable clothing accessible to everyone. We are a Vegan apparel store located in Venice, CA and welcome all walks of life into our space, especially if they have paws and claws.
What makes your clothes Vegan? Why can’t I eat them?
We do not use any animal products or byproducts in
I’m just a weirdo from Fresno with a penchant for puns and sarcasm. I do a lot of the graphics and creative driven assisting at Vegan Scene. I’m one of the driving forces behind Rebelives being that I already knew how to hand dye thanks to my mother’s chemistry class demos. I moved here about 4 years ago now, love working and spending most of my time in Venice, people watching, finding a great happy hour deal or a veggie burger and of course drawing little weird comics about random stuff I find funny.
Who Hello world! My name is Cianna, and I have a severe caffeine addiction. On a typical day at Vegan Scene I can be found obsessing over inventory accuracy, messing around with graphics, checking in on the website, conducting relevant research, eating tacos, or starring in awe at our recent fabric swatches. When I’m not working I own my role as cat mom and beer snob, all while working on illustrations and finishing my B.S. in Interaction Design. Life can be busy when you literally go into a cold sweat from not having caffeine running through your blood steam every 15 minutes.
Born and raised in the countryside of Oregon, my childhood was nothing short of backyard exploration and saving baby birds. I moved from my small hometown to LA four years ago to study Psychology and Environmental Studies. At Vegan Scene I work as a Marketing Assistant and am passionate about ethical and sustainable products. I enjoy thrift shopping and finding vintage pieces just as much as I enjoy shopping from some of my favorite brands and boutiques. My typical weekend consists of riding my bike on the bike path, lavender bath salts, homemade soup from scratch, and falling asleep to anime.
